Cal Ripken Baseball Southwest Region 2010 Rule Books will begin shipping tomorrow to all District, State and Regional Commissioners. This is about five weeks earlier than last year. These books will also be available online from the Babe Ruth Store beginning later this week. Hope everyone had an enjoyable Thanksgiving!

 

 

We are proud to announce the addition of Petal to district 7 Babe Ruth league beginning with the 2010 season.

 

 

2010 Southwest Regional Tournament Dates will be as follows:
 
Cal Ripken Division:
 
T-Ball:                      Check-In - Thursday, July 15; Start of play: Friday, July 16
All other age groups: Check-In - Thursday, July 22; Start of play: Friday, July, 23
 
Babe Ruth Division:
 
16; 16-18:                Check-In - Thursday, July 22; Start of play: Friday, July 23
13,14, 15:                Check-In - Thursday, July 29; Start of play: Friday, July 30

 

District Seven cleaned up in recent Cal-Ripken state tournaments winning four of the seven divisions. George County 5/6 T-ball won a hard fought battle against Orange Grove, entering the final inning tied George County scored four times and held Orange Grove to one run in the bottom half for the victory. George County also scored wins in the 7 year old and 8 year old divisions. With George County 8U beating fellow District Seven team Oak Grove by one run. The Vancleave 11 year old team had to beat Long Beach twice to win their division with the final game going 9 innings for a 2-1 final score. District Seven is proud of all the players, coaches and parents that are advancing to regional tournaments.
